        Personality: 
    Because of his tough appearance many may assume he's unapproachable. He can be quiet and have an eery calm to him, but when he speaks its with a gruff and very commanding tone. He's by no means unfriendly though, and is in fact perhaps too kindhearted for his own good, despite everything he's seen over the years. There are signs of old scars and memories haunting him occasionally so he can space out, but he'll tell you to pay no mind, just the absentmindedness of an old man.
    Adamant when he sets his mind to something and bullheaded when it comes to going after what he wants, he's best when he has something to work on or figure out because thats just something he can throw his whole focus into. His time as a cop has instilled in him a great amount of patience and protectiveness for another person rather than himself. Also best not take any harsh comments to heart, he can be sarcastic and have a dark sense of humor.


        History: 
    What seems like ages ago now, King was a kid that grew up in a more downtrodden area in a big city. He was a large kid, and some would try and use him to use his size and features to intimidate other kids. Unfortunately for them they soon learned that King was incredibly stubborn and had an acute since of justice. Using this drive to protect others he followed his dream to become a police officer.

    Many years were spent on the force. He quickly worked his way up, from being just another patrol officers to working vice. There he spent a lot of time ether undercover or beating down doors, cleaning up what he could despite the never ending fight. He hadn't much time for love, he married young but the strain of the job caused him to withdraw and it ended in a messy divorce. From there he threw himself into his work once more. It was much later in his career that he had the opportunity to be transferred over to homicide and worked several cases as a detective there. One case in particular haunts him to this day. It was not long after he had just been assigned a new partner, a rookie he was to show the ropes to. He didn't mind it was both part of the job and he could be a friendly fellow. Their assignment was of several murders happening in a similar pattern though no one could find any connection other than that they had all been stalked and a photo of the victim left on their corpse. They had all been killed in different ways though. After investigating the scene of the 3rd case, King started getting odd phone calls at various times of the day. A few days later his partner went to follow up on a lead only to call King in a panic. Rushing to the address they gave he set off a trap that skewered him in the leg and watched helplessly as his young partner was killed. The killer escaped when backup arrived, and they were able to save King but there was no hope for the kid. He was in a dark place for a while after that. With the help of the entire force and using himself, the current stalking target, as bait they were able to catch the murderer but it all came as such a great cost. Not only was a life lost, even with rehabilitation he would not be able to return to the job doing anything other than desk work. With few other options he put in for early retirement.

    He's been living off his pension since, attending therapy, a lot of rehabilitation and trying to stay away from the bottle. He later applied for a private investigator license once he started getting antsy. It kept him busy and was a nice bit of side money. Needing a change of scene to enjoy his retirement and as a bit of self therapy he decided to move to a set of secluded isles known for their farms and ranches and with a lot of mystery.

- Is surprisingly knowledgeable with technology but sadly technology cannot handle him (or rather his strength). Spends a lot of money replacing phones and keyboards.

- Has a nasty looking scar on his leg now, and has to use a cane for longer walks.
- He still works out despite his bad leg, and is fully battle ready. Just slower than he likes.
- Loves cave diving and other outdoors exploring type activities
- has patches of hard scales in various locations on his body
- Does need reading glasses sometimes
- The dragonclaw was a gift from someone special to him.

Drawing has never seemed so hard as coming back to it after more than half a year of not even a single doodle. The struggle was real and I'm still not satisfied with the result but it will do.
As well I am very tired so can only hope my writing is legible.
